F.E.K.O Childrens Championships 9th June 2007
Dudley Shukokai Karate Club made the short trip to Walsall for the annual F.E.K.O childrens championships.
Team kata was the first event of the day and Dudley 'A' secured the gold medal, the team of Tom Jordan, Rhianna Davies and Stephanie Walker performed the kata Rohai with good timing and power it was an easy victory with Dudley gaining all three red flags.
There was some excellent kata from Dudley Shukokai Karate Club namely Adam Zuibrzynski, Aaron Poole, Liam Jackson and Kyle Westwood who eventually went on to take the silver medal with a well performed version of "Seipei" kata.
Team fighting was next and the girls were up first, it was not a bad days work with Dudley 'A' and 'B' gaining the silver and bronze medals. Not to be out done the boys team also secured the bronze medals.
Individually the fighting was not going our way although the Dudley squad had some close decisions, Sam Ozwell fought well to secure the bronze medal.
As with all F.E.K.O competitions it was a professionally run tournament and a good day was had by everyone many thanks to everyone involved at F.E.K.O.
