Josh Johnson Kata Championships 12th July 2009
Dudley Shukokai karate club made the short journey to Wolverhampton for the annual JJ kata championships. The standard was as usual excellant and the kata was of an amazing standard. In the under 9's event there was a good result for Dudley with the students taking all 4 places . Scott Reynolds won the under 18 event and a great result for the teams with 1st and 2nd places.
Sensei Mandie Read was on good form beating her son Daniel in the senior black belt section to 2nd place and she also remains unbeaten in the veterans catogory. There was also a good result for assistant instructor Phil Billingham with him taking the bronze medal in the same event The club then waited tensley for the results for 'club of the day ' Again we were successful winning by a margin of 10 points !!! well done to all students once again an excellant result for the club.
