Also teaching was Sensei Phillip Campbell who taught kicks and how to achieve the balance
and precision that goes with a quality kick.
Our first days training concluded with an hour with Sensei Brian Burrows who is an Aikido master with over thirty years of experience. He had a wealth of knowledge to share with us and taught us breaks, locks and holds all of which had the potential of being deadly in the right hands. He finished with a question and answer session which was very informative.
Sunday training began with Sensei Mandie Read teaching front kick and roundhouse kicks on the impact pad and by the end of the hour some of the kicks were amazing. Sunday concluded with an hour of sparring techniques with England coach Sensei Wayne Otto who taught us about making opportunities and getting the correct lines to execute your techniques.
It was then straight down the motorway to the Mushindo Wado Kai tournament in Cannock.
A wonderful weekend was had by all, and it was great that Ross and Rhys Jones came over from Germany to join us all on the course.
