Sensei Mandie Read training course Bournemouth
Sensei Mandie Read travelled to Poole near Bournemouth to teach at the Kenjou, karate club run by Sensei Glen Lynch(formally of the S.K.F) it was time to catch up with old friends and make new ones. But before then it was time for some serious training.
The training session started with some kata training and the katas pinan nidan and pinan shodan were taught. Then it was onto some more technical stuff and some brown and black belt katas were taught.
Onto the impact pads and gakasuki and roundhouse kicks were being heavily delivered into the pad. And finally there were some sparring techniques taught and everyone was asked to spar with each other, juniors and seniors mixed.
Sensei Stewart Tompkins joined us from shukokai- Ryu karate club just down the road, it was good for the students to train with him as he is known for being quick with his legs!!. After three hours of training it was time for a well earned rest then into Poole for an evening meal with Sensei Glen Lynch showing us the sights.
