Dudley Shukokai Karate Club - Annual Blackpool course with Wayne Otto OBE

Friday
Friday started as usual with a trip to the Pleasure Beach where the children and adults alike enjoyed the afternoon on the rides. The evening as usual was a time for everyone to get together and the karaoke was in full swing.

Saturday
It was an early start on Saturday with our 1st session with Sensei Wayne due to start at 10am. He went through gakasuki punch, mikon punch and how to trick an opponent into thinking you were punching high or low and then performing the opposite. After a short break, the senior students got down to business and Sensei Wayne showed us various techniques that had worked for him in some of his competitions. After a thoroughly enjoyable session it was time for some photos and Sensei Wayne signed some of the younger kids sparring mitts. Saturday evening was again spent together and there was much talk about the training session.

Over a hundred of us travelled up to Blackpool for our annual training camp with Wayne Otto.

Sunday
Another early start and everyone met for an early morning run and some exercises in the sand. It was then time for breakfast and to check out of Pontins. Some of us then visited Louis Tussards Wax Works for a few hours before travelling home.
